You need to get on to Ripley Rd heading south, once on Ripley Rd you will come to a dirt road just keep going, about 100mtr on the dirt road there is a sharp right hand bend, be careful slow down to take the bend, keep driving and you will come to our S.S.A.A. sign on the left hand side, just pass the sign there will be the entrance to the property, turn left go over the cattle grid and follow the dirt road,
(The speed limit on the property is 25kph, please keep to that speed, there is a good reason for that speed), you drive for about 2klms into the property passing some farmhouses and sheds , be careful around the farmhouse as there are water diverter bumps so look out for them, you will see an Archery Range down the hill on the right hand side, just stay on the road and you will then come to the Q.R.A. Big Bore Range clubhouse, on the left hand side you will see a gate, go through it and follow the road until you come to our car park.
Opening Times: Friday - Monday 9am to 4pm. Ph. no: 07 3288 9431, it might be advisable to ring the range before you come out to make sure we are open or that some ranges might be closed due to competitions.
We are open most weekends, unless for unusual circumstances, which we will try to post any closures on his site.
We are always closed for 2 weeks over the Christmas and New Year break.
Range Fees. The Range Fees are for the use of our complex, they are as follows,
S.S.A.A. Adult $10.00 per visit.
Non S.S.A.A Adult. $15.00 per visit
Pensioner $ 7.00 per visit
Juniors $ 5.00 per visit
All licence shooters who wish to use our complex need to come to the Range Supervisors office to sign in on the Range Use Register and show their firearms licence.
All non licence adult shooters who wish to use our complex need to sign in on the Range Use Register fill out a Form 33, permission to use a firearm under supervision, and show photographic I:D such as a drivers licence, proof of identity card etc., they also need to be with a licence shooter who will supervise them shooting.
Juniors older than 11 yrs and under 18 who wish to use a rifle can do so under supervision by a licensed adult shooter, they also need to sign in on the Range Use Register and show photographic I:D, if they do not have photo I:D such as a school I:d, then a recent photo of the child endorsed on the back with the child's name, d.o.b. and signed by the parent or legal guardian will suffice as photo I:D.
If a junior who wishes to use a pistol, then they will also need to fill out a Form 33.
